Merino wool naturally has antibacterial properties, quickly wicks away moisture, which helps prevent the formation of odors. Thanks to the unique fiber structure of Merino wool with numerous air chambers, GANTER Merino shoes are the perfect companion for every season: cooling in summer, warming in winter. In short, they provide a perfect wearing experience.
Easy to care for
- Wool has antibacterial properties and a strong self-cleaning effect. Regular airing and brushing with a natural hair brush are usually sufficient.
- When combined with leather materials, shoes should be treated with waterproofing spray.

To prevent flies from laying eggs in the skin folds of Merino sheep, the wrinkled skin on the rear ends of Merino lambs is cut off with sharp scissors without anesthesia. The wounds are usually not treated afterward. Animal rights activists around the world have long protested this cruel practice. Nevertheless, many farmers in Australia continue to practice it. All our Merino is guaranteed mulesing-free.
